TikTok mentioned us this year saying we're an "adaptive activities community," but we are so much more.

Many of us in the disabled community find that we are without the social connections we yearn for after an injury or chronic illness. Wheelie Babes started as just dinners to meet other women in similar situations. Our monthly meetups grew into friendships, our group expanded, and our events got more adventurous. 

Our monthly events still include dinners, but we’ve ventured out and have gone bowling, boating, adaptive water skiing and tubing. We’ve done some modeling. Gone bar-hopping and dancing, and have a lot more planned for the future.

 

So Who Are the Wheelie Babes?

We are a group of interesting, adventurous and supportive women developing connections and making friendships and “Making Our Mark.”
