Missie’s Life Day @ Rooftop Cinema Club!

As many of you know, we have been doing monthly Wheelie Babe meet-ups for a while now. For June, we decided to dedicate a day and celebrate Missie's Life Day. A Life Day is a celebration of life after an event changes a person's life forever. — It's the date of injury. Missie's spinal cord injury resulted from tumor removal. Since June 5th, 2019, Missie likes to remember this day with a special celebration, and this year wouldn't be the exception. There is so much to celebrate, and we knew it had to be a great one. It was the first time I got to hang out with Missie as she celebrated her Life Day, and it was Missie's first year as the CEO of Wheelie Babes TX.

On June 9th, some Wheelie Babes and I joined Missie at Rooftop Cinema Club, located in Downtown Fort Worth, for a movie night. While we waited for the movie to start, we spent the evening chatting and catching up on life. I'm so happy Amy joined us for this event because we had not seen her since December last year. Even though we missed a few other members of Wheelie Babes, I was so excited to meet and introduce Lizeth to the team. Lizeth, we hope you had a great first-time experience and loved hanging out with us. I can't wait to see you again at future events. We took pictures and filmed content for social media. After it was time, the movie started, and we couldn't be more excited! Missie chose Dirty Dancing (1987) for our movie night, and we watched it together. We all enjoyed beautiful downtown skies views, with popcorn, snacks, and drinks while we watched this love story, which most of us had not seen before!

Although warm outside, we all agreed we had the best time at Rooftop Cinema Club. The staff was respectful and willing to go the extra mile for us to have a comfortable and safe experience. This place is spacious and wheelchair accessible, which makes it easy for us to move around in our wheelchairs. Michelle and Ashley helped us move chairs around with the help of their wheelchairs. It's a beautiful environment perfect for a date night and picture-perfect backdrops for social media. I am sure we will be back soon for another movie night!
